Who We Are
Mission: To serve and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences to achieve their full potential and to participate in community life.
The Arc Jacksonville was founded in 1965 by a group of local parents and citizens who shared a common vision: a world where individuals with intellectual and developmental differences would enjoy full and independent lives brimming with opportunity, promise and purpose. Since then, The Arc Jacksonville has impacted the lives of thousands of individuals and families, pioneering innovative new approaches and serving as a catalyst for change.
What We Do
From our grassroots beginnings, we have flourished into a respected community partner that serves more than 500 individuals a day—offering a full range of education, employment and advocacy services that empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
