Who We Are

Mission: To provide volunteer support for the healthcare services of Flagler Health+, contributing to patient care and enhancing the hospital’s operations.

The Flagler Health+ Auxiliary is a volunteer organization that has supported Flagler Health+ (formerly Flagler Hospital) in St. Augustine, Florida, since its founding in 1888. Initially established by a group of local women organized by industrialist Henry Flagler, the Auxiliary was essential to the hospital’s founding and has continued to serve the community for over 135 years.

What We Do

The Auxiliary plays a critical role in hospital operations, assisting in over 25 departments, including patient transport, the emergency care center, and the hospital gift shop. Volunteers offer their time and skills to enhance patient care and help with various administrative duties. The organization is known for its dedication to patient well-being and contributes significantly to the hospital’s ability to provide high-quality healthcare to the community.

Flagler Health+ Auxiliary also offers opportunities for local residents to volunteer, with a focus on compassion, service, and supporting the hospital’s mission. Volunteers receive recognition for their service, and benefits include discounts, complimentary lunches, and participation in hospital events.
