

Who We Are
Mission: To be public servants; protecting people from animals and animals from people.
Staff feeds, medicates and waters animals consistently. Vet techs come in to do medical checks on each animal. There are 6 full time officers who check on pets around the county. Animal control is a division of the St. Johns County Commissioners.
What We Do
St. Johns County Animal Control Pet Center does the following:
- House stray animals
- Adopt out animals
- Microchip animals
- Accept owner surrender dogs and cats for St. Johns County Residence
- Spay and Neuter animals
- Impound pets who’s owners have broken the law
- Trap pets in danger or which might endanger others
- Educate community and promote good pet ownership
- Return lost pets
- Assist other local agencies.
