Who We Are

Mission: To create safer communities, promote restorative justice, educate the community, and support the first responders and families who are the hardest hit by individuals experiencing mental illness.

Patients Not Prisoners is a nonprofit dedicated to providing advocacy, education, and support for first responders and families seeking to support individuals experiencing mental illness. Patients not Prisoners was formed from the pain and agony of a “Mom on a Mission,” to help her three sons who experience mental illness.

What We Do

We support and advocate for safe, equitable communities for everyone, including our Honorable Veterans. We acknowledge that when someone is affected, the entire community is affected. We provide neighborly and family support with our food and fun events while providing resources needed to navigate the medical and criminal justice systems.

We provide Free Therapy vouchers through Betterhelp.com to those in our community who are in need of therapy.

We advocate for a Mental Health Court in our community and serve on the planning commitee representing Family, Community and the population served by this court.
