Saint Augustine Lifesaving Association

Mission: To assist the county lifeguard service in decreasing the number of water-related injuries and fatalities, increasing the number of successful water rescues, and accomplishing these goals with increased safety for the county personnel.

The Saint Augustine Lifesaving Association (SALA) is a local St. Johns County Chapter of the Southeast Region of the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA). Our goal is to reduce the incidence of death and injury in the aquatic environment through public education and high levels of lifeguard training.

SALA holds many fundraising events throughout the year. We train and employ lifeguards.
